I have psoriatic arthritis. Can I use Equilac capsules?

For psoriatic arthritis we recommend you use Equilac Flex. We have developed these capsules in order to reduce joint problems. For best results use Equilac Flex in combination with Equilac Capsules.

Can I use Equilac Capsules in combination with other medications?

Yes. Equilac is a food supplement and shows no side effects in combination with medication.

Does Equilac have side effects?

No. We only discourage the use of Equilac in patients with lactose intolerance, hypersensitivity to horses or during pregnancy.

I am breastfeeding. Can I take Equilac Capsules?

Yes. You can take Equilac Capsules with no negative side effects while you are breastfeeding.

Should children take Equilac Capsules?

Yes. Children from the age of one year and up can take Equilac capsules. A capsule a day is sufficient for children up to twelve. You can facilitate the intake by mixing the powder in the capsule with yoghurt or other foods, as long as the food is no warmer than 37 °C.

Are Equilac Capsules medicine?

No. Equilac Capsules are a food supplement, registered under NUT 1013/1.

Is it possible to have a psoriasis outbreak while using Equilac?

If you have only recently started taking Equilac, then it is possible to still suffer a psoriasis outburst. The severity and the duration may vary from person to person. The outbreak is a result of Equilac´s skin purification process. After a month all waste is evacuated from the body, and your skin starts to recover.

Should I follow a special diet when I use the Equilac Capsules?

No. Nevertheless balanced and healthy eating is always important. Avoid alcohol, and drink two liters of water a day. The water will help your body to eliminate the waste and will improve the functioning of your liver and kidneys.

How long should I use the Equilac Capsules ?

Start with a three month treatment. After that time, most people start to experience a real improvement. If your skin stabilizes, you can reduce the dosage to one capsule a day, in order to prevent the symptoms from returning.

When should I see the first improvement?

This can vary from one to four weeks, and could take a bit longer, depending on other factors such as food, alcohol, medication and stress.

Does everybody see improvements with Equilac Capsules?

No, unfortunately not. However, most users feel a great improvement or stabilizing of their symptoms. In other cases they disappear completely.

Should I keep taking my prescribed medicines?

Yes. We recommend you do not discontinue the medication your doctor prescribed while you are taking Equilac, due to the fact that we cannot judge your personal condition.

Can I use Equilac Capsules if I have diabetes?

Yes, but only in a mild case of diabetes. Equilac Capsules contain a small quantity of lactose (milk sugar).

Do you recommend Equilac Sensitive Body Cream for wet eczema?

No. This cream is only recommended for extremely dry skin. Patients with wet eczema need a cream that maintains the skin dry.
