Horse milk is a unique product obtained by milking a mare by hand or via a milking machine adapted to the mare’s udder. Fresh horse milk is raw and unpasteurized. As a result, it retains its nutritional value and contains many essential nutrients.
If you prefer drinking horse milk instead of taking horse milk capsules, the recommended daily amount is 250 ml per day. You can drink pure horse milk, but diluting it with syrup, cocoa, sugar, or making porridge is possible. Please note that horse milk should never be heated above 37 °C.
Fresh, unpasteurized horse milk can be stored fresh for three days. That is why horse milk is immediately frozen or dried into powder to preserve the many essential nutrients that horse milk contains. The frozen milk will keep for six months at -18 °C. If frozen, the milk should be thawed in the refrigerator. After thawing, the milk should not be re-frozen.
It is recommended not to drink raw (unpasteurized) horse milk during pregnancy.
